Australia Day

Our second Australia Day in Sydney was marked by totally gorgeous weather, blue skies and clear still water. We were sitting inside when we hear a faint "Ella!! Ella!" from outside, look over the balcony and there are the Cody boy's in the inflatable wanting to know if Ella wants to come for a ride. This has to be the ultimate pickup for a play date I have ever seen, off the rocks by rubber duckie - life jackets required.
So Brendan and Ella went down and jumped aboard for a quick ride around the bay.

We thought back to a year ago when we had been in the house only a week or so and realised how settled we are, what wonderful friends we have made in the area, and how marvelous it has been to reconnect with old friends also in Australia. It has been a busy year, we have achieved much of what we set out to do, mainly just settling and finding work, consolidating our experience here. I look forward to seeing what 2008 and has yielded in a years time - hopefully we will be citizens then, we have just discovered that we are eligible!
